Thank you for all you share.

You are a beautiful dancer & a beautiful writer. This is such a gift–we are finishing the semester at Overlake studying W. African dance in class as well as some in the spring musical. I hope it is alright to share your radient descriptions & your personal reflections of this beautiful celebration of dance & music with your Overlake family back home. Just remember the ‘spirit’ of this dancing you were part of (not just witness to). It is more about the connection within the community than about “nailing the correct move.” Have fun, let your body move to the drum (your heartbeat) that is contstantly going on. Even from afar, we can see that that “dance of life” is something you are embodying. Big hug, Beth

You are in the circle of light, too …. just dancing more quietly!

One of my favorite Neil Young songs is titled, “When You Da-ance, I Can Really Love!” It perfectly describes how I feel after reading you post, and how everyone felt watching the amazing woman you describe. How thrilling that you are living in a culture where dance is so important and people are not repressed in their movements.
