It’s an important question, for us to choose to be leaders. To us to collaborate with each other to change our communities. I’m curious; why’d you choose that photo to accompany this post? I look forward to hearing about this project 🙂

My comments won’t be quite as length nor thoughtful as yours. I will talk about the 6 inches of snow that are supposed to come in tonight/tomorrow and the nice weather we have been having the last couple of days, I do this to be informative of what is happening in Red wing, not to make you envious. It doesn’t sound like you are becoming envious anyway. I am proud of you for trying to assimilate into the community, and that sounds like you are doing a great job of that. The native Senagalise won’t want to let you come back to Minnesota. All is going well, and we are looking forward to having you back in town. Take lots of pictures. I have been enjoying those you have sent, and am interested in engaging some conversations with you about them.

Your mom and dad were up for dinner on Thursday evening. They brought all of the food–I just threw in a bottle of wine to wash it down. She brought some rice, which would have been right in your baliwick. Of course, she brought some roast pork. as an accompanyment—-it was great.

Days are getting longer, and the winter sunsets are awesome. I can handle the lifestyle quite handily. We have passed the coldest week(ave) of the year, so wer are now heading into the homestretch.

I am going to Phil and Heidi’s in Charlotte this weekend. Julia is being confirmed, and has asked me to be her sponsor. Can’t turn that down, so I get on the big bird about Friday Am, and return on Monday.

Again, I look forward to seeing you soon.

Stay safe.

Love,

Grandpa L.

Can’t wait to read more as your year continues. Best wishes, Audrey
