Sinead, I enjoy reading about your immersion into a completely different culture.
The details about your day, Cotten Man Joe dance and the carpentry adventures bring a smile to my face. This is truly a chapter in your life that you will treasure.
As you know by now, Virginia turned the tide to Blue with the recent election and I was channeling you making sure all my coworkers voted ensuring them I would cover their clients and the phones while they stepped out of the office. Perhaps, the ERA amendment can finally be added to our constitution!
We miss you and have you in our thoughts!

Hi My dear Sinead, Thanks for your note & update several weeks ago. I wrote you a response while on the airplane to Brad’s funeral, but I don’t think my note went through to you, so I’m trying again. What a tragedy. We are all in shock, & grieving in our own way. What a loss for all of us. Sounds like your getting into the flow of your new surroundings& African Life.Sorry you were sick for awhile. Hope your eating more apples & Oranges. I know the language is a challenge for you, but keep your spirits up. I love you& I’m so proud of you for taking this step. Your carpentry apprenticeship sounds different& challenging for you. I’m saving up some home projects for you when you return. Good luck with Wolof . I miss you& love you. PaPa Tom. Remember: Bird-Bird.

Hi Sinead, Thanks for your lovely note. I just boarded a flight in Jacksonville , Florida, on my way to Madison to see the girls & attend Brad’s funeral on Saturday. What a tragedy for all of us. I’m still having difficulty making sense of this & dealing with the emotional & terrible grief, sorrow, & pain I feel for our loss. Brad was a wonderful man & I loved him deeply.All of us especially Chloe & EB, need each other at this time & I know how close you& Chloe are. I’m in tears now, just thinking about Brad’s passing.

Wonderful picture! You are definitely out of your comfort zone, but the experience sounds wonderful except for the mango. We had bad mango in Thailand, and, whenever I say the word, my stomach feels queasy.
