Your insights into your family there and your skill at describing are a deligh to read. I can see why you want to stay longer. You may have to House your mother if you don’t get back here on time, but she would fit right in.

I do caution you about the Rainer season. If it is anything like the monsoons I lived through in Vietnam, it is dreadful. Infections occur easily and clothes never dry. The ground turns to soup and getting around is most difficult if not impossible.

On the bright side, you will bring home worlds of stories and songs to sing and recipes to introduce on SI.

Am so happy for all of you. Keep writing. There are publication opportunities for you just waiting.
