Abdallah Salha

Abdallah is a UWC Red Cross Nordic alumnus from Palestine. He is interested in cultures, politics and biology. Abdallah was born in Saudi Arabia to a family that traveled around the Middle East for education and work experiences in different cultural settings. They were his inspiration to go outside Palestine seeking a unique future and more opportunities. He represented his country Palestine per to an invitation from the US Department of State as the youngest Palestinian Ambassador in 2013, worked at the Gaza Strip regional student Parliament for five years, and served at UWC Red Cross Nordic as a qualified first aider, lifeguard and MUN chair. He also takes the chance to kayak, canoe, swim, dive, jog, run and hike to discover the biology that he learns in class in real-life settings. Abdallah fell in love with nature upon his arrival to Norway in August 2017 and therefore he doesn’t hesitate to try new things in Life. He is looking forward to arriving in Senegal to learn Wolof and French, get to know the Senegalese culture and people, and to be outdoors in the beautiful Senegalese landscapes! Abdallah’s inspired by Albert Einstein’s the quote: “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding,” so he joins peace building programs in the hope of being an influence for a change in the political situation that his country is facing nowadays. عبد الله هو خريج فلسطيني من كلية العالم المتحدة للصليب الأحمر الشمالي في النرويج. هو مهتم بالثقافات والعلوم السياسية والعلوم الحياتية. ولد عبد الله في المملكة العربية السعودية لعائلة سافرت حول الشرق الأوسط للتعليم و الحصول على خبرات العمل في بيئات ثقافية مختلفة. لقد كانوا مصدر إلهامه للذهاب إلى خارج فلسطين بحثًا عن مستقبل فريد والمزيد من الفرص. مثل عبدالله بلده فلسطين بدعوة من وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية كأصغر سفير فلسطيني في عام 2013 ، وعمل في برلمان الطلاب الإقليمي في قطاع غزة لمدة خمس سنوات ، وخدم في مدرسته في النرويج بصفته مسعفًا مؤهلًا ، ورجل إنقاذ ، و مدرب تمثيل الأمم المتحدة. كما أنه يغتنم الفرصة للتجديف ، والسباحة ، والغوص ، والركض ، والمشي على الجبال لاكتشاف الأحياء التي يتعلمها في الفصل في ظروف الحياة الحقيقية. وقع عبد الله في حب الطبيعة عند وصوله إلى النرويج في أغسطس 2017 ، وبالتالي فهو لا يتردد في تجربة أشياء جديدة في حياته. يتطلع عبدالله إلى الوصول إلى السنغال لتعلم اللغة الولوف والفرنسية ، والتعرف على ثقافة الشعب السنغالي ، وعلى المناظر الطبيعية السنغالية. عبد الله ملهم من مقولة ألبرت أينشتاين: "لا يمكن الحفاظ على السلام بالقوة ؛ لا يمكن تحقيق ذلك إلا من خلال الفهم" ، لذا فهو ينضم إلى برامج بناء السلام على أمل تغيير الوضع السياسي الذي تواجهه بلاده هذه الأيام.
